Traditionally, the Silver Cup, held at handicap level 20, marks the start of the Dubai Polo Gold Cup series. Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series (DPGC) was founded in 2009 by Mohammed Al Habtoor, patron of the Habtoor Polo team and Chairman of the UAE Polo Federation.
