First joint Tripple Crown triumph for Adolfo and Poroto

Eight teams with handicaps between 29 and 39 fought for the victory at the 129th Hurlingham Open, the second leg the most coveted polo trophy in the world. In the final, the teams La Dolfina Saudi with the players Adolfo Cambiaso, David Stirling, Juan Martin Nero and Adolfo Cambiaso and La Irenita Grand Champions with Juan Britos, Francisco Elizalde, Pablo Mac Donough and Juan M. Zubía faced each other.

Both teams fought a fierce and extremely exciting battle at the Lewis Lacey Ground at Hurlingha, Polo Club. So after four Triple Crown tournaments without winning it (their last title was in Palermo 2020), La Dolfina Saudi lifted a “big” trophy again. For Adolfito it was his 14th Hurlingham Polo Open title,  Juan Martin Nero won the trophy for the 10th time, while the Uruguayan Pelón Stirling reached his 7th title. For Adoplfo Cambiaso, this victory was yet another triumph in his unique career, but it was arguably one of the finest victories for the best player in the world. For playing alongside him was his x Adolpho junior (nick name Poroto). Just 16 years old, he is, like his father, an exceptional talent. He already plays with a handicap of 9 and it is only a question of time that he will also compete with the maximum handicap of 10. With his victory at the 129th Hurlingham Open, Poroto has set the first milestone for his future as one of the world’s top players.
